To me McGriff should be in with no questions...the guy was a monster in the late 1980's and into the 1990's. He has the career numbers to back it up as well. I think his problem is two fold:

1) playing in the era he did a lot of other players put up better numbers...legit or not, those numbers make people over look his production.

2) He was so quiet. You never heard a peep out of the guy and he just came to work and did his job. Seriously, does anyone remember him putting up big numbers later in his career with Tampa Bay and Chicago? I mean, he was hitting .300/30/100 in his late 30's for some bad teams.
