Re: An Alternate College Basketball Universe (College Hoops 2k5 & 2k8)

2005-06 Season
The following freshman (who would have gone to the NBA) stepped on campus for the first time:
G Monta Ellis - Mississippi State
F Martell Webster - Washington
F Andray Blatche - Syracuse
C Andrew Bynum - Connecticut
F Amir Johnson - Louisville
G Louis Williams - Georgia
F Gerald Green - Oklahoma State

All-Americans
1st Team

G Randy Foye - Villanova - Senior
G JJ Redick - Duke - Senior
F Lebron James - Ohio State - Senior
F Chris Bosh - Georgia Tech - Senior
F Craig Smith - Boston College - Senior

2nd Team
G Deron Williams - Illinois - Senior
G Adam Morrison - Gonzaga - Junior
F Carmelo Anthony - Syracuse - Senior
F Alando Tucker - Wisconsin - Junior
C Andrew Bogut - Utah - Junior

The NCAA Tournament got off to a roaring start with upsets right and left, with several Cinderellas in the thick of things towards the end of the second weekend. The Elite Eight Matchups came down to this:
West Virginia vs. Duke
Florida vs. Wichita State (who beat Lebron James' OSU squad in the second round)
Bradley (who knocked off 1-seeded Syracuse and ended Carmelo Anthony's illustrious college career) vs. Memphis
George Mason (who knocked off last year's champ Georgia Tech's season and ended Chris Bosh's career) vs. North Carolina

UNC beat Memphis in one semifinal, & Florida beat Duke in the other semifinal, setting up a Florida - North Carolina Championship game. North Carolina would prevail 72-63.
