Dunno if this has been mentioned yet, but if you play an NBA Today Featured Game (one of the games in the middle of the selection screen that are happening in real life) you get extra VC.

I just used the Coach Mode method of earning VC on the Knicks @ Raps game, got 600 + 250

EDIT: I just flipped back a page and saw it... sorry guys
