I have noticed this in quite a few vids already.....I'm going to say its user error but I need to be certain when I get my hands on the game...

Its really hard to determine how the game plays since all the vids so far have the users playing kinda spastic. As the Da_Czar mentioned...I don't know why the 2k guys don't release the videos of them playing. At least we would get a good representation of how the game will look if played realistically.
