My only suggestion is to maybe have the QB evade moves use the precision modifier (L2 / LT) in addition to the left stick, as to continue to allow standard and more subtle movements in the pockets. Sometimes I just want to take a single step to the right or a single step forward without a dramatic animation.

Beyond that, I agree with your premise wholeheartedly. I never use the QB right stick evade moves, because my right thumb is always on the controller face buttons to throw the ball to a receiver. Making those easier to pull off would be wonderful, especially to the end of doing all of Tony Romo's real-life Houdini antics.
