With Free, pissed off about having the second choice in the expansion draft. Free elected to send newly hired general manager Austin Jones to the draft. Free, trusted Austin to build the team through his own eyes. Seattle, chose Tyler Ulis with the first choice which was a delight to Austin as he promptly chose Rajon Rondo, and JaVale McGee back to back. The rest of the draft panned out quickly and smoothly.
