TNA iMPACT! Interview

With the help of our readers and Midway, we had an opportunity to interview the Producer of TNA iMPACT!, Scot Lane.
Operation Sports: Is there a submission system? If so how does it work?

Scot Lane: Oh yeah, there’s a submission system. Wrestlers like Samoa Joe who are known for submissions will have more options here, but basically out of head hold, you can put someone into a submission and it will trigger a mini-game where the opponent has a chance to break out of it. The longer he stays in, the more location specific damage he takes.

Good interview.

Based on that, not liking the only 4 guys in the ring at one time limitation. We'll see how it turns out.

Re: TNA iMPACT! Interview

I don't mind the 4 guy limitation if it means a more smooth transition between moves and animations.

The main thing I'm looking at is the fact that they may not get the SIx Sides of Steel match in. I mean...come on. Other than Ultimate X that is one of their signature match-types.

while I would like to see more than a 4 man limitation, I would have to say the most important aspect will be the quality of the game. I would love to see it have a major impact (no pun intended) on gamers much as fight night did. Something that just makes you say "WOW"!

That being said, TNA hasn't cut any corners startig up a new wrestling promotion, I wouldn't think they will release a sub-par game!

Re: TNA iMPACT! Interview

Thanks for the interview Steve. I'm a little concerned about some of the answers, but still looking forward to the game.

Yeah...It's their first effort, so I understand, but it does kinda suck...

I just hope their blend of arcade/sim is fun for us wrestling fans...we don't want a wrestling/fighter, you know?

Re: TNA iMPACT! Interview

the guy interviewed really seemed like he didn't even know that much about the game.
