IGN has posted a new NHL 09 blog called New Features.

The player progession system is exciting for me, it actually sounds like it makes sense and at the same time allows you as the coach/gm to have input on what your players focus on to make them better. Any additions to franchise are welcome imo.

I was hoping for more info on Dynasty mode but the player progression sounds cool.

I'm really excited about getting access to the Euro Leagues. I actually think i'll spend more time playing with them than the NHL teams.
