My sports game of the year hands down. One of the best purchases I've made next gen and only $40 for my Wii. First year I've gotten it and I can't say enough great things about this game. It earns at least a 9 easily for me.

Re: MLB Power Pros 2008 Review

This is the first sports games in years that I have been hooked on playing. I use to be solely a sports gamer up until a few years ago too. This game is just so much fun.

I have it for the Wii although I can't see why anyone wouldn't want to save $20 and just pick it up for the PS2. $20 is a steal for this game.

What's funny is that even with the criticism in this review, the announcer is still waaay better than in last year's version - when the announced call was basically random.

Only other comment is that there's more involved than just translating the menus and in-game text. It's obvious that a *lot* of care was put into making those little bobblehead guys look like their MLB counterparts. Manny Ramirez, David Ortiz, Hideki Matsui, K-Rod, etc. are absolutely unmistakeable.

While it is much better I have heard the pop fly call for groundballs, not as much but still have. Also, I agree with the looks of the players, they get a lot of people to look dead on, especially the glasses they have make some players look even better.

As long as you have a backwards compatible model you should be money.

Yeah, I'm playing it in my 60GB PS3, widescreen too.

I'm sorry, I've never played a PS2 game on my PS3, but two more questions:

1. How do you know if it's backwards compatible?

2. How do you save your PS2 stuff on your PS3?
