pretty good review. still like nhl 09 gameplay over 2k for authenticity but 2k overall really put the fun back into playing hockey

Good review. Also, to have full control in your passes. Go the menu where you can change the shot to manual and you can change pass assist too. I set it to 0 and now I have full range where to pass it.

Nice review. Too bad about the lack of FA and re-signing during the season. Does anyone know if there is CPU v CPU or an opportunity to let a game go to a certain point then jump in vs the CPU?

as for not being able to re-sign players in the season....according to the CBA, you cannot do this until after Jan 1 of the year the contract expires.....so maybe thats why

That's true. Teams do re-sign their players but the new contracts only kick in after the end of the previous contract, which would be a bitch to program I'm sure.

Decent review! I have a couple friends who aren't hardcore hockey video game fans, so this title may be more fun for them.
