Konami Announces Premiere Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 Trailer at E3 2009

Featuring Cover Star Lionel Messi, Trailer Showcases
New Visual Enhancements And Gameplay Elements For Latest Version
of Pro Evolution Soccer

El Segundo, Calif. - June 2, 2009 - Argentina and FC Barcelona striker Lionel Messi stars in an all-new trailer as Konami Digital Entertainment showcases the first incredible footage from the newly announced Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 (PES 2010) at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo® (E3) in Los Angeles. The stunning trailer debuts during the June 2nd - 4th event and shows off the astonishing new graphics and improved gameplay of PES 2010.

The new footage focuses on PES 2010 cover star, Messi, who endorses the new game after another successful season at FC Barcelona. Through the soccer icon, the trailer shows the major advancements in PES 2010 gameplay and graphics. People will also witness firsthand an all-new dynamic lighting system, wherein shadows are cast in real-time, creating a photo-realistic look.

At the center of PES 2010 is a lifelike representation of the pace and skill of top-level soccer. The PES Productions team has recreated the pace and tactical approach of a top-flight soccer match, with mature skill and vision needed to create space and scoring opportunities, making easy goals a thing of the past.

PES 2010's vastly improved graphics bring like-life visuals to the game, featuring unique skin textures for individual players, and a level of detail that enables players to see the different weaves used in the various kits, their animated faces, and even the hairs on their arms.

To further the realistic gaming experience, Konami implemented an all-new tactical system called 'Power Gauge', which features an easy-to-use sliding bar system with several categories; half for defense, and the other half for attacking play. Each category allows users to easily change their overall style of play, and adopt strategies related to support for the player in possession, how often players change position, and the pressure put on the opposition when they have the ball.

"I am both a professional footballer and a huge PES fan, and am delighted to again be the front man for such an incredible football title as PES 2010," commented Messi. "Although it has been a successful one, it has been a long and hard season, and I am looking forward to getting to grips with PES 2010 before the real thing starts again this year!"

Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 is scheduled to be released in Fall 2009 on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system, PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, Windows PC and PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system this Fall with enhancements in every area of the game.
Platform: PC / PS2 / PS3 / PSP / Xbox 360

Re: Konami Announces Premiere Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 Trailer at E3 2009

The trailer looks hot. Glad to see they added their own Custom Tactics sliders. Didn't see anything about 360-degreee dribbling. Gonna be a great battle this year. PES's superior modes, graphics and gameplay feel vs. Fifa's tech and, hopefully improved AI. This is why competition is great for gamers!

If they have a Cam like ProCam and have 360-degree dribbling, I might have to do both! I have a feeling that the Konami team will really have something big in the AI and player-positioning dept....
