It has to do with tagging items for the home page. They get sorted by date posted, so announcements like this often get a new thread so it can be at or near the top of the list. So the other threads should eventually be closed and this one will be used...

finally an official announcement from thq. i was starting to get worried since i heard one of their wrestling games had the same issue and it stayed unpatched. now i can stop debating if i should keep it or not since the online option will come back to fruition

Yes, but it wasn't official by any means, and it still only has a rumored date. I've heard plenty of people make official announcements ahead of time that never came to be, so I take it with a grain of salt until I hear it from the actual source.

One of the few things I respect about EA. Call a spade a spade. Cheaters, plug pullers and quiters they should be dealt with. They have no respect for others lives and don't fully understand the importance of life. Just to freely waste someone elses time is very low.
