He is taking jim's "108 battings stances" and subtracting 38 (that is the # of the particular generic pitching stance referred to in this article) and coming up with what he hopes is 70 batting stances.

Meaning he thinks that jim's 108 was batting and pitching stances combined. 108 -38 = 70

NOW....Blzer, bro....please...you have got to find a way to not over analyze every. single. thing. in life. It is truly remarkable.

You should have taken jim's "108 generic batting stances" as just that. One hundred and eight generic batting stances. This was confirmed by Russell (well, over 100 anyway) in this thread.

You got too smart for your own good on this one.

There will be heck to pay if there's only 106. I counted rather quickly.

Oh, I just hoped that it wasn't "advertising talk" when they said 108 stances in the game. Some people consider pitching windups as "pitching stances," so I was just hoping for the best but planning for the worst. Good thing we got the best!

EDIT: Oh, I see you were referring to me talking about the article. Well, PhantomPain seems to have answered it.

And PP, again I was just planning for the worst here. I don't want to fall into thinking something and having too much expectation. Sounds like they got it down pat though!

SECOND EDIT: Ah, sounds like I misread and/or misremembered anyway. It looks like jim416 did indeed say there were 107 generic batting stances. I must be getting old.

They mentioned Scout Now and did not clarify a big point, last year It gave you a list of games matching your criteria of options but took forever to get in games as so many rooms were dominant as the person was not there or It would take forever for the person to respond to your request to play him. I hope It just automatically puts the person in a game automatically instead of the other person having to accept ur challenge.
