I don't think they're going to do that either unless you make the changes for them

You can talk about style of play all day, but a college team wouldn't so no to a good player. Then to add sometimes you have to take what you can get. If no running Qb wants to goto GT. Do they go without signing a QB at all? Take what you can get, then adjust your offense. Thats what Notre Dame did, thats what GT would do.
If GT couldn't sign a dual threat QB, they'd move someone from another skill position (WR, HB, CB) to QB until they found a suitable replacement; similar to South Carolina using Stephon Gilmore at QB when they run their version of the Wildcat, he was recruited to play CB but also played QB in high school.

That's an aspect of college football EA has yet to figure out, players play where they're needed not the one position they were recruited to play. But that's a discussion for another time, the real issue here is a top 5 QB would not sign with an option offense team if he was a pure drop pack passer; ask Ryan Mallett.

Yeah I do agree that the CPU should still recruit "Best Player Available" however they will not change their offense in the game to fit that player. They'll be trying to fit square pegs in round holes.

Fortunately, there aren't a ton of option teams out there.

yea.. but there are a bunch of spread option and option read teams though... maybe the CPU will tone down the QB decisions to run if his speed and agility ratings are not very good and force him to hand it off more and not scramble as much inside the offense.

Well i'm at least hoping that there are more diverse recruits. There were nearly no balanced and scrambling QB's in previous versions of the game. So perhaps it may work out for those teams.
