did they just say the AI drivers know when the race is winding down and race more agressively? Yes, yes, yes!

nothing is worse than racing a field of other drivers who dont seem to realize they're actually in a race. That was probably my biggest complaint about EA's games. Every AI driver had only one personality, and it was "perfect and boring". Once you got in front of someone in Nascar 09, you really had to screw up in order to get the AI to pass you back.

I like the look of the little mini-map at the bottom center of the screen, kind of like a visual spotter. I always had trouble in the EA games of actually knowing where the cars behind me were (small TV, had a lot of issues trying to do in-car view).

Different driver personalities is sorely needed for sure. I'm just a little concerned about what the aggressive AI nearing the end of the race might entail... to EA that would just mean the other drivers generally driving faster all of a sudden instead of more contact, driving deeper into a corner, more risks, etc, etc. Hopefully its more of the latter.

The game is looking really good, especially for a first go.
