NBA 2K12: Managing the Heat

An owner of the Miami Heat in NBA 2K12 doesn’t have to do too much to get the franchise in position to compete for an NBA title. In the video game world this truly is a Dream Team, but that doesn’t mean the roster is good enough as is, even with the Shane Battier signing.

Here are a few moves that can be made to set the Heat up for greatness, this season and beyond.

Anyway, the only move I don't like from that article is trading Mike Miller for JJ Reddick. Only because I don't think any team in their right mind would take old, injury prone MM for young JJ Reddick.

fun article,
but instead of getting reddick, I would have made a move for Korver.
I would have nevere considered the Kobe trade.
and insteda of getting ANderson, I would have gone for a more verstaile big man. one who could play both the center and pf position.
based on this game and not reality, a good virtual alternative wouldbe Chris Wilcox.
Wilcox has been a solid backup in the 2k series for the paste several years.

Re: NBA 2K12: Managing the Heat

No moves really need to be made for this team.

Only move I would consider is trying to package Mario Chalmers for someone like DeJuan Blair, Robin Lopez, Darko Milicic, or Cole Aldrich. Not because I don't like Chalmers, I love the way he plays in real-life and I hope he is on the Heat for his entire career as one of our main guys, but I suck with him a lot in the game for some reason.

Otherwise, this team is set as I am great with Haslem, Miller, House, Cole, and Joel Anthony is a big-time shot blocker and energy player. Also, with the additions of Battier and Curry, it'd be pretty hard for me to not win a title with this team.

I'll put it this way:

Last year's Miami Heat team made it to the finals without an elite point guard and without an elite center. Defensive principles got them that far.

Trading defense for offense is going backwards in the eyes of Miami.

So, to me, these trades are moving backwards.
