Re: Gamespot Preview.... Pitching Pitching Pitching

"Pitching is not the only aspect of the game that 2K Sports is addressing for 2K12. 2K heard the complaints about past games and is looking to adjust everything that fans of the series have noted as being weak. Fielding is being worked on to ensure better throwing by outfield players. Also, player animations, specifically for the catcher, have been heavily worked on to ensure the players move as they would in real life. Lastly, the graphics engine and lighting have been tweaked to give a more realistic viewing experience."

Sounds good. Hopefully baserunning animations have been revamped as well.

Where's the David Price screenshot? I only see Verlander and Bruce.

EDIT:

Found it:

Re: Gamespot Preview.... Pitching Pitching Pitching

Sounds good, but IMO improving pitching, while always welcome, is low on my list of "needs" for this game, as pitching is already the high point for this series. Improve hitting with that kind of detail and you've got my attention.

Still, good to see some news trickle out and it sounds like they are focusing on core aspects, which is always good news.

My thoughts exactly. Gotta be zone hitting or something more this year.

Personally im not easily swayed, this ammount of talk of pitching makes you wonder if they just wanted to work on it for the "million dollar perfect game" stuff while the rest gets kind of swept under the rug. They said "tweaks" that means very little change in most cases.
Well see I guess...
