If you don't take Deron you take CP3, they're easily the top 2 in my book
DWill is no where near the defensive player that CP3, Westbrook and Rondo are. He's a great shooter and offensive player and is stronger than most point guards, however, CP3's assist/defense/steals and Westbrook's athleticism/scoring/steals should give those two the edge in overall ratings- by a point or two. Still, all great players.

Dude steal numbers don't equal great on ball defense.. Steal number more reflect quick hands.. The same reason a player like AI always had impressive steal numbers.. You're gonna tell me he was a great defensive player too???

I never said anything negative about CP3, Westbrook, or Rondos defense???....I said Deron was more versatile defensively than CP3.. And CP3 and Deron have almost identical assist stats over their career so giving CP the esge doesnt make sense, especially since he has been dishing off to far better teammates...

and Westbrook should in no way be above either of them.. He shouldn't even be above Rondo.. Do you even know what a PG I supposed to do??? It sure as hell isn't jack up 20+ shots per game and gamble around all over on defense, taking shots early in the shot clock and not getting your team into a flow early in games.. As far as being an overall player yeah Westbrook is a stud, as far as being a PG he still needs a lot of work

The only edge he has over any of them is his athletic ability, which should never automatically give you a higher overall.. Not to mention D Will has been on a horrible team this past year while Westbrook and CP3 have had the luxury of playing on really good playoff teams.

Deron is by far the most versatile player offensively of all the PGs.. He can hit the 3s like CP3, get to the hole as well as Rondo, or Rose.. Nail the pull up as well as Westbrook all while playing under control and smart much like CP3 does.. he passes as well as CP3, while I would have Rondo slightly ahead of them both in that department..

. Don't let one off year hurt Deron's legacy.. Like I said ESPN and NBA.com both had him rated as the top PG in the league, even back when CP3 was making a run at the MVP award, and Steve Nash was still very impressive.. I guess they were wrong too?

He is a great athlete and I honestly feel if he gets the jumper he could be the best UK player in the NBA long term, over Davis, over Wall, over Cousins. I know, strong words but I watched that team play every game last year and MKG drove that team to excellence. When he played well that took that team to a whole another level last year in the NCAA Tourney.
Yep, same here, I watched him play alot of games with Kentucky, and he very well could be a guy for the Bobcats to build a team around. He's a team first guy, this guy could fill it up offensively, but he was fine with sharing the load, and if he isn't scoring he's doing other things to help his team out, He prides himself on defense, and he will grab those boards.

He needs to change his jumpshot's release, it has a hitch in it, and right now it is spotty. But he takes contact on shot's like Lebron, and is extremely athletic. Bobcats fans will fall in love with this guy. 78 is fair, but I don't think it's a stretch to say by 2k15, he'll be in the 90's.

No.

and it's not even debatable. Not only that, but even Duncan is still better than Hibbert.

I donīt agree with giving rating to players based on the numbers they get.

For example, before Lin exploded, he was unusable on the game. After linsanity, he gets faster, better dribbling, better pass, better awareness.... attributes that the player, in real life, had already before Linsanity.

Same thing with Lance Stephenson. The guy didnīt play last year and he is completely unusable in 2k12. Even though he is mad quick and has great dribbles... his ratings in those 2 attributes are very low.

Now that Bynum is going to get more shots, will he get better ratings in shooting, rebounding, etc..? It doesnīt make sense to me.

It is like having two 65 overall players. Both 65 overall, but both completely different. One might be a Rebounding Specialist, the other a 3 Point Shooter. Do not let the overall ratings get to your head. Just pretend that number doesn't exist. They need to remove the rating in favor of A+, A, A-, B+, B, B-, C, etc. LeBron no doubt is an A+ overall (96-99) as Kobe is an A overall (93-95) or whatever scale they tend to use.

The number should be changed to a letter grade and let the CPU have it hidden as a number to distinguish the rotations for CPU controlled teams.
Letter grades would be HORRENDOUS. This ain't Fast Break Basketball.

It actually sounds like a good idea.

but then people like you wouldn't have much to complain about anymore.

"OMG why is Joel Anthony a 62 and Eddy Curry a 64 ?!?, he doesn't even start !!!"

with grades they both can be D+.
