You do know his rating is currently a 78. So you are going to sit here and say it needs to be one point lower? I don't understand.

with grades they both can be D+.
When you press L3, you actually get letter grades for attributes. They should also have the OVR become a letter grade as well.

It should be capped at a certain overall for D- ... like for Scalabrine, 40 OVR can be a D- because realistically, an F rated player would not be in the NBA.

I never said anything negative about CP3, Westbrook, or Rondos defense???....I said Deron was more versatile defensively than CP3.. And CP3 and Deron have almost identical assist stats over their career so giving CP the esge doesnt make sense, especially since he has been dishing off to far better teammates...

and Westbrook should in no way be above either of them.. He shouldn't even be above Rondo.. Do you even know what a PG I supposed to do??? It sure as hell isn't jack up 20+ shots per game and gamble around all over on defense, taking shots early in the shot clock and not getting your team into a flow early in games.. As far as being an overall player yeah Westbrook is a stud, as far as being a PG he still needs a lot of work

The only edge he has over any of them is his athletic ability, which should never automatically give you a higher overall.. Not to mention D Will has been on a horrible team this past year while Westbrook and CP3 have had the luxury of playing on really good playoff teams.

Deron is by far the most versatile player offensively of all the PGs.. He can hit the 3s like CP3, get to the hole as well as Rondo, or Rose.. Nail the pull up as well as Westbrook all while playing under control and smart much like CP3 does.. he passes as well as CP3, while I would have Rondo slightly ahead of them both in that department..

. Don't let one off year hurt Deron's legacy.. Like I said ESPN and NBA.com both had him rated as the top PG in the league, even back when CP3 was making a run at the MVP award, and Steve Nash was still very impressive.. I guess they were wrong too?
Arguing over who is better among these point guards is kind of ridiculous, as they are all top tier, all-star level guards who will all be up around 90-94. However, I do have a couple general points to bring up in regards to Westbrook:

(1) I keep hearing people complaining that he's "not a real point guard" cause he shoots too much or drives too much or doesn't pass enough, as that's not what point guards are supposed to do. Well, "point guard" is just a label to fit players into definable roles. Once they're on the court, it's just basketball. Westbrook transcends his position, as he is on his own planet in terms of explosiveness and athletic ability. He shouldn't be penalized because he plays the position differently, he should be rewarded because he plays it in ways other point guards cannot. Similarly, Power Forwards are not, traditionally, supposed to be jump-shooting scorers and 3pt specialists, yet Dirk became one of the best players ever doing just that. He transcended the position (and really changed it forever).

(2) The whole, "so-and-so was playing on a better team so he had better players that made it easier for him" argument is incredibly short-sighted. One of the main reasons OKC is a great team is BECAUSE Westbrook is on the team. They're not two exclusive things. (Same with CP3 making the Clippers into a playoff team- it's because he's so great.) The fact that Westbrook can put up such big numbers while playing alongside another, more prolific scorer should prove that he is, in fact, even better than his numbers suggest. The same way Bosh's numbers went down when Wade/LeBron get all the shots (and Wade's numbers went down alongside LeBron, etc), should make numbers that Westbrook puts up along side Durant even more impressive.

Again, DWill is great. He should get a 90-91 rating. However, I personally believe that Westbrook has certain skills outside of shooting and passing that are better and will make him just as good (if not slightly better) in terms of overall rating. I could see them both at 91 to be honest. CP3 will (and should) be slightly better rated than both, even though DWill will be a better scorer.

Anyone want to take a guess on what Chris Bosh will be rated?

Well, Griffin is now an 86, Love is an 89. I think Bosh deserves to be between them, but it depends on how much 2k bases on stats. Bosh's stats are hurt by having two dominant players on his team. I think he deserves an 87, but I feel he will get less, maybe an 84 or 85.

Im a troll for stating a fact , but your opinion ( which is completley inaccurate and even a pacers fan will admit it ) makes you not? Must be a sour bobcats fan. Sorry about that. Sorry for being excited to have the best center in the east land on my team that has struggled since iverson left. Ill try to tone it down so that im not trolling. And please , continue to act like every player in the league hasnt gotten hurt.

I was using the "plays with better palyers" argument for assist purposes not points.. Deron hasn't had near the talent to dish the ball to that Westbrook or CP3 have had yet he continues to have very similar assist number to CP3...

And I'm not trying to knock Westbrook for playing the game differently, I like watching him, he's exciting.. But as far as how ratings work on 2K PGs get a bigger bump for things like passing, ball handling, steals, stuff like that.. When finishing above the rim and knocking down pull ups effect ratings then I will see Westbrook getting a higher overall.. With Williams being a better shooter than either of them, and his passing being close to CP3's and higher than Westbrooks, It just seems fit to me that his rating should be just as high if not a point or so higher.. There ball handling I assume will all be similar, all play alright defense
