Re: NHL 13 Title Update Arrives Early Next Week

Redshirt, would you be able to give us Tuner 1.06 details? There are patch details on EA's forum, but I'd like to know separately what was changed in the patch and in the tuner. It would help me (and probably other people as well) to know if I stay with tuner 1.04 or I make the switch to 1.06. Thanks!

After loading my Be a GM I'm very happy to see that my audio and visual settings are actually saved after restarting my Xbox 360.

Re: NHL 13 Title Update Arrives Early Next Week

My impressions so far: lost the first three games in a row, 1-4, 0-1 and 0-2. Never happened to me before. Problem is that I outshot the cpu by far in each game.
So in a positive way the cpu-goalies seem improved, but on the other hand all my goals against except one where cheap ones. Don't know if that has to do with my goalie only being 78 ovr, but that was okay pre-patch.
So to stay positive: I like the challenge, but I hope I won't continue losing due to cheap cpu goals ...

For gameplay changes:

-(Patch) Separated ability for backwards to forwards pivot for ‘with puck’ and ‘without puck’ and made it quicker to pivot without the puck.
-(Both) Poke checking – fixed bug causing players to always miss to the same side of the puck.
-(Patch) Goalies will be more aware of shots right off a faceoff in the offensive zone.
-(Tuning) Goalies will have a harder time dealing with screens.
-(Both) Ability to tune shooting back against the grain so it can be less accurate/effective than shooting with your weight behind the shot and moving towards your shooting direction.
-(Patch) Ability for players to be more susceptible to lose the puck when getting hit while skating backwards with the puck at speed.
-(Patch) Prevented desperation shots from knocking the puck away from the goalie minimizing the strategy of diving at the goalie to knock the puck loose.
-(Patch) Fixed shootout logic in GM Connected to include both locked and unlocked users.
-(Patch) Allowed BAP games to resume from simulation in the middle of a shift (fixed crash when sim intervening).
-(Patch) Fixed goals screening goalie stat.
-(Patch) Goalie has a better chance of squaring up to shots from far out.
-(Patch) Improved orientation of off-puck players in one-timer situations.
-(Patch) Improved AI behavior against a back skating puck carrier.
-(Patch) Fixed hit power sliders so only the hitter’s slider value matters.
-(Patch) Fixed AI players occasionally standing around looking at the puck when resuming from simulation in BAP.
-(Patch) Fixed BAP being taken off the ice after a short shift that results in a stoppage.
-(Patch) Fixed rapidly spinning players in BAP when resuming from simulation.
-(Both -- no effect currently) Ability to tune players puck control coming out of a 45 glide deke.
-(Both -- no effect currently) Ability to tune CPU pass error on long passes.
-(Both) Improved puck hop behavior when it hits the boards.
-(Both) Pokechecking effectiveness range tweaked. Players with better stick checking skill will stand out more compared to players with lover ratings in that category.
-(Tuning) Tuned goalies and shooting accuracy to ensure shots in the slot/middle of the ice are more effective than shots from sharp angles.

"Tuning" means that the change is part of V1.06 and can be undone by using an earlier version. "Both" means that you need both the patch and V1.06 to get the change. "Patch" means you need just the patch.
