But this thread is exactly why they don't need to take time releasing videos of gameplay. All it does is provide a platform for people predisposed to complain, that weren't buying anyway, to rag on the game.
Hes not saying that they shouldn't market it but lets be honest here

2k should focus on improving the graphics and hitting rather then coming out every single year saying here " perfect challenge for 60 bucks "

hitting?
the control stick hitting and control stick pitching are 2 things that 2k does really well.

Classic 2K marketing. The game has to be gold by now, yet the only screen shots we have yet to see are from youtube captures.

I don't usually miss a MLB release but at this point it is literally looking like a 2K12 roster update at best. I didn't want to believe it but it is looking more and more like the case. Last year I was happy to buy in because it felt like you were there to witness the end of an era - like CH2K8 or NFL2K5. Now it just feels like a feeble, comeback from retirement.

The way the contact hitting is it could use improvements i want to be able to hit some HR's with it and hit some line drives instead of hitting it in the IF OF glove

Honestly, did anyone really expect more? This is the end of the console generation. They aren't going to put a significant effort into this game. And they didn't have any time to do it anyway.

At this point they are cutting their losses and either gearing up for next-gen or packing it in for good.

And for those who say they should just give up, that's ridiculous. We all bitch about sports games disappearing and we want the game to go away? We should keep demanding improvement not telling them to stop making the game.

Great point. People that say that are obviously partisan. They are so far along in their disdain that the game actually doing well would get them upset.

If the info posted shows us anything, it says they are at least not just rerunning the $1M thing and running the game through its cycle. I know the company can make this game strong. stopping now would be silly.

I'd be willing to give the game another chance if they dropped the price to maybe $29.99. Hell it worked for NFL 2K and NHL 2K back in the PS2/Xbox days.
