MLB 13 The Show Video - Developer Blog: The Postseason

Check out the new MLB 13 The Show video that takes a deeper look into the postseason mode and the in-game presentation overhaul that takes place.

Quote:
This year the MLB 13 The Show dev team has given the Postseason the treatment it deserves. All-new presentations, on-screen displays and audio give you the feel of October baseball. And, even better, you no longer have to simulate 162 games to expereince it. Just set your match-ups and jump right into the action.

Re: Developer Blog: The Postseason

I really think they have done a great job this year with postseason. One of my biggest complaint was that the post season never seemed different than the regular season. The videos that have been captured do not do the sound justice. I can't wait to have this on my surround system blaring!!!

I think everyone is going to be very happy when they play through it. So much has been added this year....those that are saying this is 12.5 are dillusional. I feel this may be the biggest year to year jump yet.

Wow..this looks great! I just wish this mode was available for online play where you could play it with your friends. Hopefully next year.

At least teams like the Mets and Mariners can actually be in the playoffs now...

Re: Developer Blog: The Postseason

1. Must we fill in all the slots for postseason mode, or can we choose any number of teams? Say I just want to do the CS and WS and skip the DS and WC games.

2. I believe thaSLAB confirmed this; but again... Can we put any team in any slot? Like all AL teams in all the slots? This would make sense when redoing old matchups like the 82 WS or 05 WS with the Brewers and Astros switching leagues.

Not sure about 1 (I think so), but positive for 2 that yeah anybody can go anywhere.
