the answer is no, he doesn't have much of an impact on sports, but his company is one of the reason sports video gaming exists.

He should not be on a list of the 50 most powerful people in sports, but the 50 most powerful in video games... sure.

Now, I get frustrated at EA as much as the next guy but...

You guys are calling him greedy, corporate tool, etc. but you still buy his games every year?

On sports, no, on sports gaming duh but by default. It should have been noted that his company thrives on not having competition. Would a gold medal mean anything if you won it competing against no one? He had a positive effect on my gaming life because without his company's half hearted football games this generation I would have never found great football gems like front office football and professional football simulator and for that I thank you.
