NBA 2K14 Path to Greatness Mode Coming to PC

To much delight for the NBA 2K14 PC fans, the Path to Greatness mode, featuring LeBron James is coming to PC (previously confirmed for 360 and PS3 only). This has been confirmed by Polygon's @SamitSarkar"]Samit Sarkar and a 2K Sports rep.

Sorry next-gen fans... no Path to Greatness for you.

It's cool to have this mode I guess but I'm more curious what this hybrid version of the PC version is going to be....

As a ps3 player I don't know what I would do without the customizable arena music. It adds so much to the game. Since its inception on ps3 in NBA 2k11, I have added hundreds of songs to my in game playlists.

OH SURE WHY DON'T YOU JUST RUB IT IN! j/k I do get the console version (360) but I have been having trouble streaming the music...I was successful only once years ago and it did add a lot to the game!

I just want it on the PC for convenience so I don't have to hassle with the streaming....

We haven't heard what they're leaving out yet. I'm thinking some online modes. I wouldn't hold my breathe for the custom music, either.

Thanks for the update, Steve.

I am curious though about the sourcing for the "not on next gen" information. The 2k press folks have been pretty cagey about saying that all information is about current gen only, and that nothing said now applies to next gen.

That could mean that game modes like path to greatness and crew will not be next gen or it could mean that the press folks are under strict NDA regarding next gen right now so they can't confirm or deny anything. I have asked both Chris Manning and Ronnie Singh for clarification, but neither has responded.
