As far as I remember, the ratings are based off of the weighted three-year average. Then .281 (Jackson) and .275 (Schierholtz) unweighted so they make sense.

Also, there are other attributes that contribute to hitting ability other than just Contact RHP, correct?

That's right, I forgot.

Thanks.

I noticed ACC as an attribute. I sold my ps3 and therefore don't have the game but I don't remember that in the previous versions. Is that acceleration?

Sure of course... it looks like player attributes aren't changing for the new game.
