Thanks God Nyquist didn't get a boost. I don't want the NHLs leading goal scorer since January to be given a boost. SMH. I would of thought this was a no brainer?

Re: NHL 14 Dynamic Ratings Update - Iginla, Staal, Duchene, Seguin & More

The problem with these updates is that the NHL changes on a nightly basis, not just a few times per month.

For example, Pekka Rinne was just placed on a "cold streak" in NHL 14, and he will likely stay "cold" for another week or two, until the next update arrives.

Last night, however, Pekka Rinne shutout the highest scoring team in the NHL, the Chicago Blackhawks, in the United Center, where Chicago is now 23-7-7 this season.

If the NHL team lacks the manpower or budget to update these hot/cold streaks on a daily basis, then I would suggest removing the feature from NHL 14's play now modes.

Instead, they could incorporate streaks into the offline season/franchise modes, with the game simply reading from the season's generated stats to determine who's hot/cold instead of relying on developers to manually update these streaks once in a while.

Yep. To that point, John Mitchell is injured for the Avalanche, did not play the last 2 games and won't play tomorrow more than likely. So, not sure he warrants being on hot streak.
