Mutant League Football and
Mutant League Hockey creator,
Michael Mendheim, set up a booth at April's Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo to promote his new football game,
Mutant Football League.
The project is currently self-funded and is being developed with the
Unity game engine. Character models, shaders and a play editor are already up and running, according to Mendheim's C2E2 interview with TechRaptor.
Digital Dreams Entertainment, the game's eight-person development team, is planning a return to Kickstarter this August to secure additional funding as
Mutant Football League nears completion.
Subsequently,
Mutant Football League will target a "summer 2015" digital release on STEAM, Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.
Mutant Football League's previous Kickstarter campaign raised $141,821 from 1,105 backers, but ultimately failed to meet its $750,000 goal.
