Re: 21 Things We Know About Madden NFL 15

I had a conversation with a developer on here last year about the real life specific commentary and how it doesn't work in franchise mode especially in any year after the first. He said that he likes the real stuff because it sounds cool. It does in play now, but in franchise mode I want to hear how my team or opponent is currently doing.

In madden 13 I kept hearing about Gronk and his impact but he was out for the year in my franchise. Heck they even talk about bill belicheck and great coaching job he did last let year and he isn't even in the game.

Wow that is sad. CFM is the only mode I play and after the first year I just turn off the commentary because of the same stuff that gets repeated. Would be a huge improvement if it was generic and dynamic commentary in there.

I am sure that was not a direct quote.

Here is the exact quote. I mentioned in the post he commented on how they should remove the specific commentary and move toward generic commentary that can be tailored to your franchise.

Of course the more specific, the less you want to hear it after the first time etc. etc. so there are positives and negatives to every angle you take.

Re: 21 Things We Know About Madden NFL 15

I think the PS4/XB1 versions of Madden 25 improved on dynamic commentary and included way more than the current-gen versions did. While generic, you'd hear Nantz on the starting lineup graphics saying, "Here's the Bills defense, top five in the league in getting to the quarterback", or "The Eagles, an efficient group on offense last week, turning the ball over only once". Not incredibly specific, but a lot better than "here are your defensive starters" we heard on current-gen M25 and in Madden 13.

Still nowhere near perfect, so I hope the development team can only improve on the dynamic content in 15 and future years. I'm not worried about the statistical overlays and lower thirds (those should be awesome, if the E3 clips are any evidence).

I'm mostly concerned about how the overall, complete presentation looks and sounds. Even good ideas tend to get stale after a while. Only a few games manage to stand the test of time with presentation.
