Madden NFL 15 Start/Welcome Screen Will Feature The Legion of Boom

Shortly after Richard Sherman won the Madden NFL 15 cover vote, he stated that he had been trying to get the Legion of Boom on the cover.

"I’ve been trying to get the Legion of Boom on the cover, and EA has been fighting me,” Sherman said. “So if everybody wants to start a petition to get the Legion of Boom on the cover, here it is, here’s an open invitation."

A couple of online petitions were created, netting over 20,000 signatures.

Today, EA Sports has announced the Legion of Boom will make it's way to the start/welcome screen in Madden NFL 15. You can read all the details on how they made it happen here.

I like this article. It addressed a problem In a transparent way and they came up with a solution. It seems they're learning how to be a successful business in this day and age. And I give them props for all the stuff they've done so far this development cycle with concerns and feedback.

Doubt it. You'll have to get used to the LOB in madden.

I remember when favorite team meant more than just the team play now always defaulted too. First we had actual moving players on the menu screen. Then we had just static images. Still our favorite team. Now we have a Windows 8 interface with a bunch of random NFL player players. Also our menus were no longer our favorite team color scheme.

Might only be the start screen but I don't like it. Having giant # before you even start the game? I understand that they have based Madden 15 on defence but I'm sick of all this Seahawks hype. It's everywhere and now EA assume we are all Seattle fans by slapping the #LOB right on the start screen as if we are actually going to use it? Game might as well be called 'Madden NFL 15: Seahawks Edition'.

It's actually pretty cool to me. But it's only something you're gonna see for a second. Press start and its gone. I've played Madden 25 tons and I can't remember what the splash screen looks like from memory.
