Now they can focus more on gameplay every year. With the smaller team they really have to pick one or another while the other big franchises can do both if they want. I'm. It saying the graphics won't get better for the nhl series but we probably won't see another leap for another 3-4 years as in what happens last generation.
They had a great base five years ago when the game was exactly the same. They've done nothing. Don't be a shill.

These guys suck so I wont judge the game by their play. However, with the right settings and attribute tweaks, this game could play really well and with the inclusion of new puck physics, could turn out to be the most realistic NHL game yet.

the player icon above their head reminds me of the sims but the gameplay looks great. graphics are on point and the animations seem to flow with the game.

To be honest, nobody should expect a huge leap in terms of general gameplay.
EA hockey has been similar since it's inception. It's still north-south hockey at it's core.

That's not a bad thing. I've enjoyed a lot of EA's hockey titles for many years now.
But nobody should suddenly expect a different vibe or flavour to this game.

For me, I think where the game can be different or improved is in an extra layer of sloppiness. And I saw that in this video. Despite it being on default sliders and probably a lower difficulty, there were lots of loose pucks, pass interceptions, missed one-timers, etc.

It's amazing how much different/better NHL14 feels using the revamped rosters.
If EA would simply apply a similar ratings scale out of the box, I think most of us would be happy.

These 2 have no idea how to play, no clue at all about the sport. Again maybe sliders and higher settings will fix the arcade feel to this game. Everything is a break away chance.

Yeah, it looked like the CPU was doing a better job of taking away passing lanes than the guys with the controllers, which is a good thing.

I agree that most of the animations I see are almost or exactly the same as in NHL 13/14.
Goalies moves/animates abysmal as always.

My hopes goes for the new puck physics, but will see.
