LA will bring in Horford,- then ship him, Julius Randal, and either Russell or Clarkson to Sacramento for Cousins.

now you potentially have a big 3 though they'd be a few years from contending.

-Durant
-Simmons or Ingram
-Cousins
-and either Clarkson or Russell

and of course theyll attract a few more mid level type free agents.

then the following year you could potentially get Westbrook in LA, and that free agent crop has a lot of marquee type players also.

There is a better chance that Durant goes to Brooklyn or the 6ers then he goes to the Lakers. Also no shot the Kings trade Cousins for Horford, Randle and Clarkson or Russell.

He is going one of 2 places, WSH or back to OKC, with GSW as a darkhorse.

and you have to remember your building to compete for a championship in 3-4 years. you have to look at who your potential competitors will be in the west.
and as of right now, that looks like it will be GS, Minnesota, and maybe S.A.
Clippers, Dallas, Houston, and OKC (if they dont keep the team together window is about 2-3 years longer as of right now)

6ers, really? "The fish that saved Pittsburgh, 2.0"
reason why I mention the cousins trade is because, Sac is what they are with Cousins. no free agent is going to Sac. By the time they rebuild again, Cousins will be beyond his prime. Sac is just desperate to make the playoffs. so that trade gives them a better shot at becoming playoff contenders.

I agree that Durant will probably stay with OKC, but if he leaves I firmly believe he's Laker bound.

They need to make a hard push for Durant and Lebron. Even though acquiring either is practically impossible, they have to try. The Lakers have always gotten the big time Free Agent. They have to do everything in their power to make it happen, especially since they completely fumbled in the draft and in Free Agency last year.

This is the only thing im doing since release, playing MyLeague (with SimWorld roster) with my Lakers, always simming the first season to start the post kobe era with the 2016 draft (currently using simworlds fictional draft classes).

- Zhou Qi selected with the 32nd pick overall
- fired Byron Scott and replaced him with the best CPU generated HC available
- re-signed only Jordan Clarkson
- signed as FA: Lebron James, Shaun Livingston, Festus Ezeli, Lance Stephenson, Darrell Arthur, Ronnie Price and Ronny Turiaf
- traded Nick Young for a couple of picks

Current Depth chart:
PG: Russell/Livingston/Price
SG: Clarkson/Williams
SF: James/Stephenson/Brown
PF: Randle/Arthur/Turiaf
C: Ezeli/Nance jr/ Qi

Current record: 26-6 (2nd overall in WC)

I would have preferred having Batum/Barnes instead of LBJ (more realistic) but I cannot complain
So all LA has to do is sign LeBron James. Simple enough..

You can't sign and trade free agents like that, and why would Horford sign with LA if they are just going to ship him off?

Real life doesn't work like that. You're asking for the stars to align, multiple times over.

Re: For the Lakers, What is Next After Kobe?

Rebuilding the Lakers is easy in MYGM

-Trade for the Suns pick/Lakers pick/and Wizards pick (3 total)

-Trade away anyone not named Russell, Clarkson, Randle, or Nance to create a terrible roster

-Sim through , Lakers should be at the bottom along with the Suns and sometimes Wizards

-Avoid trading rookies and valuable picks.

-fire Scott around the first week of April. There's usually a really good coach available to hire. I hired Dave J from Memphis. Avoid trying to sign a coach in off season because it's damn near impossible to get a good one

-Now in off season, hopefully the lottery balls fall your way. I got 1 2 and 5 I think.

-trade those three picks for Cousins.

-Try to obtain one more decent player during the draft. I got Harrison Barnes.

-Sign Demar in free agency if he's available, him or Lebron

My current roster after doing all that

Russell
Clarkson
Demar
Randle
Cousins

Jennings
Richardson
Barnes
Nance Jr
Capella

Mickey
Rozier
Felicio
Caboclo
