Interesting, but over the top.

Hopefully an indication that the defensive backfield or defense in general is getting some attention. Defensive assignments and a smarter reaction AI without sliding animations and the such.

At some point the highly touted true step needs to be for every virtual player.

As far as the screen shot goes there's nothing that screams look at me. Old equipment I can live with but those same player models. Lordy. The over the top huge knee caps. There was a video that portrayed when madden players run their legs never straighten out. #Hugeekneecaps. Gotta fix the animations and gameplay first before all else.

I'd like a score ticker at the bottom of the screen and a good half-time show. Maybe an in-menu ESPN league update show too.

I think AI would be the most important place to focus attention, yes?

They always do the most at EA. I've never seen a shot like this in a REAL NFL broadcast. You guys don't have to reinvent the wheel just watch a few Sunday Monday and Thursday games and give us what you see.

I feel like the boss who comes back from vacation and can't see any progress and having to ask what the employees did while I was gone. I'm getting so so so tired of EA doing the absolute minimum every damn year. San Diego Studios and 2k put them to absolute shame.

This is a hell of a leap of logic to say that the "absolute minimum" was done based off of a single screen shot taken from a dev kit that Tiburon probably didn't even authorize for public release, given that there is clearly debug output in the upper left of the screen.

We don't even know what is in the game yet, what Tiburon has been up to. Presumably, there's more than just a new starting line-up screen (assuming that's what this is and not something else).
