Does Steph Curry Justify Greater Than an 99 Overall Rating?

Steph Curry had a heck of a night last night.

Not only did he score the most points in an OT effort ever (17), but he also single handedly took a playoff game over and delivered a big W for Golden State -- putting the Warriors up three games to one and certainly clinching their ticket onwards.

Quote:
"Perhaps the best way summarize Curry's performance on Monday is with this stat: Curry missed his first nine 3-pointers and later scored 17 points in overtime -- an NBA record."

Curry can catch fire like few players in the history of the game, and when he does -- it almost seems like he may actually encapsulate what it may look like to see a player with skills beyond what we typically see.

With that in mind, are Curry's attributes (especially his offensive attributes) properly captured in NBA 2K16? Do you think that Curry should be considered for something higher than a 99 overall rating?

Sound off in the comments!

Not at all. He's a legendary player, future HOFer and probably the best player in the league right now. But if 2K is sticking to it's policy of ratings, Curry is not in the conversation of thee best player of all time. Sorry.

I don't know if he need to be higher but 2k definitely needs to work on some things to get some players, not just Curry who are special playing the way they should because as it is Curry shoots a contested or moving 3 and will have chance of hitting one as Draymond which to me is a problem. Yes is contested yes it shouldn't go in a lot do the time but it does when Curry shoots it the same way IRL Lebron will power his way into the paint for a layup or dunk but in 2k he will lose the ball before he even gets inside the arc. And too me this a problem when guys like them don't play like them.

These threads always go the same way.

"He's not the best player ever, OMG"

"He's having the best season ever"

"But Jordan, LeBron, Shaq"

etc.

Overall discussions are just pointless. Get his ratings right, that's all.

I can't "Like" posts for some reason, so I'll just say yes, yes, a million times yes.

The number under "OVR" means nothing. The number under the different ratings that accurately portray a player's abilities is what matters.

No.
99 for Curry is unjustifiable. Curry is the best shooter ever, not the best player. 99 is Michael Jordan and no one else. The problem with Steph Curry is his unpredictability: his shots without sense, from half-court, are almost impossible to reproduct in the right way If covered by the rule to which are subject all players Nba 2K.
For Curry 2K needs to do a special "Curry shot mode" only for him

No, because if we're going by the legends scale they touted so much about before the game came out, that would make Curry the greatest of all time..

And well, no..
