Handing Out Grades for the NBA Draft

The Celtics had a busy night in the 2016 draft.

Various sports outlets have been discussing last night's draft, handing out analysis, and giving grades to team's performances. We took a look at three winners and losers from last night's draft ourselves with NBA 2K17 in mind.

Around the web, there have been various reactions rolling in from the draft last night. Here are a few:

ESPN writes international players and the OKC Thunder came out ahead on draft day:

Quote:
"The Los Angeles Lakers then took Brandon Ingram with the second pick, making him the fifth top-two pick for the Lakers in the common draft era.

The rest of the draft may have delivered a bit of a shock."

USA Today writes that surprises came early and often with the 2016 draft:

Quote:
"It started when the Milwaukee Bucks selected Thon Maker at 10th overall. Maker, in large part because of his unusual path, which included a an extra year at Orangeville Prep playing as a post-graduate student rather than the typical path of heading to college, was a real wildcard in this draft."

Bleacher Report checks in with some draft grades for all 30 franchises:

Quote:
"Numerous impact players were taken on Thursday, as the 2016 class featured future stars like Brandon Ingram and Ben Simmons as well as strong depth throughout the first round with Buddy Hield and Jamal Murray."

CBS Sports also broke down each team's draft with grades and analysis:

Quote:
"...it's clear that there are quite a few winners and losers after the 2016 NBA Draft given what went down."

With the draft behind us and news of NBA 2K17 certainly coming in the next few weeks -- the time to look ahead to next season has already begun.

Has the draft changed how you want to approach NBA 2K17? Which rookie(s) are you most looking forward to playing as?

Being a University of Utah fan I'm definitely looking forward to playing some games with Toronto now that they drafted Jakob Poeltl. Gives them two Utes after drafting Delon Wright last year.
