FUT Champions Is Coming to FIFA Ultimate Team

In what is ultimately an unsurprising move, FIFA Ultimate Team is adding a new aspect to its mode called FUT Champions.

FUT Champions is a new way to compete where each week you will compete to qualify for the weekend league and in-game rewards. There will be monthly leaderboards within the mode to track how you stack up against other FIFA players.

Weekend League Online FIFA Ultimate Team Tournaments are now part of FUT Champions. Winning a Daily Knockout tournament will earn you rewards and a spot in the Weekend League. Dynamic squad entry requirements and unique rewards keep the Daily Knockouts fresh. Already at the top of the pyramid in FUT Online Seasons? Weekly success at the highest levels will give automatic access to the coveted Weekend League.The clock starts once the weekend begins. Compete to win as many games as you can from a set number of matches, and push for higher tiers and bigger in-game rewards. From Bronze to Elite, everyone who competes in the Weekend League has a chance to earn in-game rewards to help build their club for the next competition. Long-Term Rankings A strong individual weekend result is only the beginning. Consistent Weekend League performances help you move up the Monthly Leaderboard tiers, unlocking some of the best in-game rewards in all of FUT. Play well enough and you may earn special FUT Champions items to help you show off on the pitch.

...thanks for your negativity. It's obvious that Ultimate Team modes are not popular on OS but I personally love it and this addition is awesome. This has nothing to do with rewarding "pay-to-win" players.

Better yet, it's rewarding streamers who filch other people's cash in the name of "donations" so that they can use someone else's money to build super teams. Sarcasm aside, it's a pretty cool idea, but I couldn't help but feel it would be even better if you could only earn coins through gameplay, putting everyone on a level playing field. But that would of course negate the need for micro transactions and...
