Hackers took down the EA servers last night and again today, as the EA support team attempts to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. You can check the status here.

This obviously impacts online games, modes, etc. for Madden NFL 17 and other EA games. As more information comes in, we will update this post.

I've experienced server issues from EA in NHL, FIFA and Madden. You can't trust the stability coming from EA.

This is why I will never do online single player franchise. I learned this the hard way back in NCAA when I tried it because the online functionality was great (recruiting from my phone at work? Awesome!) But the first time you have a great game that just gets erased due to your internet or their servers it ruins everything.

If they wanted to get me back into online franchise for single player they'd need to add some redundant systems that let you at least finish your game and save if the servers went down.

I played a ton of online franchise games in 16 and this almost never happened but in 17 I've already had this happen 4-5 times so I switched to an iffline franchise.

This is exactly why I no longer buy digital versions of these games, and don't play online.

Give me a physical disc and an offline solo mode and I'm good.

There are too many jacktards running around who want nothing but to cause people grief.

Sorry for all those that are unable to play their games because of this, I know it sucks. Hope it's back up for you guys soon.
