NHL 17 Roster Update Available Now

Per the official NHL 17 Twitter account, we should see the NHL 17 roster update sometime today. This tweet here confirms it.

Once the roster is available, we will update this post.

UPDATE: The NHL 17 roster update is available now.

Roster Update Download Instructions*:

• In the NHL 17 main menu, select (Customize)
• In the Customize section, select (Roster)
• In the Roster section, select (Active Rosters)
• In the Active Rosters section, select the most recent update organized by ‘Date & Time’ under EA Sports NHL Official Rosters

*NOTE: Your console must have an internet connection to download this roster update.

I normally ban for comments like Gangrel's, but I'm just throwing out a public warning due to he fact that he isn't far off. Some of the posts I saw yesterday were plain terrible, and a good showing of why the NHL devs don't frequent the NHL forum actively anymore.

I wasn't referring to this place specifically. I was just reading through some of the comments on the Twitter feed. It just seems there, on Reddit , and elsewhere that people think the roster update should have been out 10 seconds after the last team played their first game.

I'm anxious for it just like anybody else, but I also understand with all the legal stuff between EA and all the leagues around the world it takes time. This is not Madden or NBA where you have just one league to deal with.

That's why I wish they had roster sharing. The community doesn't have to worry about the legal stuff. And if they are struggling to put out roster updates, the community would take a lot of that heat off of the developers.

I agree, it would be nice. I just wonder if they don't want to have to use their servers to store everything like 2k does?
