Updated Major League Baseball 2K6 Review (360)

We have just updated our Major League Baseball 2K6 review. Has the score changed after the patch? Find out what Mark Fossen had to say.

"On April 27, a little over two weeks after release, 2K sports released an Xbox Live AutoUpdate which addressed the freezing issue discussed in this review. While some users still report having issues, and there has been no announcement made of how people who cannot connect to Xbox Live will recieve the updated software, I wanted to adjust the score here to reflect the fact that the primary bug in the game as been fixed. The other issues noted in the review (freezes when logging into Xbox Live if your VIP is the same name as your gamertag, the Boston uniforms, etc.) still exist, but at least buyers can now play a full nine innings of baseball."

the most perplexing review ever. from a purist standpoint, i have no desire to pick this game up, especially after last years debacle.

but sometimes being a purist means you dont have fun because you are more concerned that the game is a reflection of real life. sometimes we start to view games from too serious a standpoint with too critical an eye.

so when you say the game is flat out fun, then the little kid in me says why not just try it? how much could it hurt? dont you just want to have fun sometimes?

the review is bang on IMO, rushed game without much thought much like the NHL on 360....

You can always go to your local Blockbuster and rent it fellas. Then you can decide if it's worth picking up for the full $60 + tax, haha. Peace.
