I know they changed Suicide's name to Manik.. was there ever a reason given?
I think there was another wrestler with the name Suicide. If you haven't been following lately don't start now. This is coming from a TNA mark BTW

Suicide was originally created for the TNA video game, so i kind of wonder if they had to stop using the name for copyright reasons (if that name was owned by the game developer.. I'm just guessing..)

Slammiversary

Slammiversary

Austin Aries dressed up as him and won the X Division title. Hulk Hogan then changed Suicide's name because umm....yup.

Re: Impact Wrestling Discussion

I knew AA won it as Suicide.. but I figured they at least gave a reason for the stupid name change.

Also, I don't think it has anything to do with "another wrestler named Suicide". TNA has been using the character Suicide since he debuted in their video game.

I read on at least 3 sites stating why they changed. It was done poorly regardless of the reason. RIP Suicide

I wanted the explanation to be more than "because the name was Suicide", but I was disappointed when that's the only explanation I could find.

Re: Impact Wrestling Discussion

Enjoyed TNA last night. The whole Tito promo with Angle & Bully Ray was not called for. It ruined the flow of the show for me.

Re: Impact Wrestling Discussion

Good show this week. Ladder, tables and cage matches were all good outside of the shady endings.
