Or instead of this illegitimate child angle, maybe just have the transaction be based on ... wrestling? Angle sees himself in Jordan and was willing to do whatever it took to get Jordan on RAW, even if it meant splitting up a good tag team in American Alpha.

Obviously, I'd have to devote time to fleshing out a story arc, but really just highlighting that all this build was a big letdown and there are other ways to set up an Angle-Jordan alliance.
