Imagine WWE SmackDown! PS3 On Blu-Ray Disc

IGN has an article up on potential storage media for PS3, XBox 2 and the next Nintendo system.

Blu-Ray discs can hold 25 to 50 Gigabytes of data each (with Sony developing a 100 Gigabyte Blu-Ray disc), while HD-DVDs can't hold as much.

Imagine WWE SmackDown! for PlayStation 3 on a Blu-Ray disc. THQ would have no excuse not to include EVERYTHING:

-the full current WWE roster with up-to-date entrance music
    -better graphics
-Season Mode with audio dialogue from WWE wrestlers and branching storylines
-full CAW with EVERYTHING, including old wrestlers' attires and old entrance music (Real American for Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin's music, Goldberg's music, DX's music, the nWo's music)
-Create An Entrance from WWE Wrestlemania XIX
-bigger ShopZone (without useless Bra & Panties colours, diva loading screens, and diva menu screens)
    -more challenges
-a lot more new moves, including classic and current moves and finishers
-more unlockable Legends (no Hillbilly Jim or Brutus Beefcake)
-unlockable wrestlers who aren't Legends who are no longer on the roster(Brock Lesnar, Goldberg)
-all in-game wrestlers have moves they really do (DAVE Batista would have his Sitdown Powerbomb from WWE Day Of Reckoning, his devastating Clothesline, and his Spinebuster, Randy Orton would have the RKO from WWE Day Of Reckoning)
-if PS3 has a built-in Hard Drive like XBox, ripping entrance music from the Hard Drive
-everything from WWE SmackDown! Vs Raw and more

How about the one thing I've wanted since Smackdown 3: Create A Move (as in a wrestling move vs an entrance)... that could most definitely be done using a BluRay disc in terms of how much memory it would take up. Whether THQ is ambitious enough to implement such as feature is another story...

yeah all that stuff would be great, but you just know even with all that space they will leave a few things out.

            not something to gawk over

sports devs would just put less features in games, knowing that they can easily "add and subtract" every season

more disk space allows them to do more for the future, not the present, which is commonly believed
