We have just posted some NBA 2K5 finals simulation movie clips.
"The NBA Finals are upon us, as the Detroit Pistons get ready for a hard battle with the San Antonio Spurs. This match-up looks to go the distance and for those short on time and patience, 2K Sports has used the most advanced simulation technology (i.e. NBA 2K5) to find out who’s going to be smiling with rings. Will Ben "Fear The Fro" Wallace be able to contain the Tim Duncan, "The Big Fundamental"? Who has the advantage between Tony Parker and Chauncy Billups?

In addition, those curious to see the outcome of a Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns Finals, 2K Sports has calculated all the mind-numbing numbers and details presented in another highlight reel."

Ok IGN is wrong the video was running the 2k6 engine and version...even if you go to the 2ksports website..it says running from 2k6. Also you know this isn't 2k5 when you watch it...notice how the announcers table is rotating 2ksports on it...also the crowd is super 3D, unlike last years...not to mention the freak'n player models are super f..king detailed...look at Tony parker and look at the detail in Tim Duncan beard and face....Its a video of 2k6 not 2k5. Go to the site of the people who made it.

i think wat they meant(OS that is) when they posted this is that its the NBA 2005 Finals......not NBA 2k5 game

There seems to be some confusion w/ the PR dept at 2K Games, they have been contacted and whenever I find out what the deal is, I'll let you know.

The PR said it was NBA 2K5, but from looking at the vids, they look like 2K6 to me as well.

Well, I'm sure it's 2K5, but with the 2K6 name slapped on it.

and thats prolly wat NBA 2K6 will be for the Xbox.......i honestly thing NBA 2K6 will be NBA 2K5.1 with lil new animations(but same dunks n layups) and maybe better AI.....but it'll most likely feel like NBA 2K5

now for the Xbox 360.....who knows

well you are very wrong about that. At E3 2ksports showed more gameplay from NBA 2k6 for XBOX, the player models have been redone from scratch along with everything else. and truly it shows. Maybe your just being critical and hoping for disappointment. but from what I saw it looks promising, even the player motion is different. player are motion captured from the actual counterparts and are with real skeleton models now. So they won't have that stiff robot feel.

why the heck would i hope for disappointment?.....i want them to have a great game...... that comment was kinda stupid.............everyone thinks if u say something negative, ur a Live fan or ur hopin for disappointment.... ...........we saw 2k4 footage(not early footage which = 2k3)...we said this ni that, tried to up our spirits, and we know that game was garbage

and the player models didnt look that different like u say....the only thing to me that looks promising is 2k6 on Xbox 360, cuz i seriously think 2k6 on xbox will be NBA 2k5.1.........u can talk about real skeleton models and watnot, but they didnt look different, so it doesnt matter wat they say they did..........u say they wont have that stiff robot feel, but the only way to know that is to play the final game........so, while ima think this n that, u say stuff as if u know how its goin be

some stuff from the E3 video looks different like they have new animations and watnot......but a lot of it still looks like 2k5........dunks and layups for one thing......whether or not it'll have smarter AI or new animations...........it'll still most likely feel like NBA 2k5 on the xbox........but im syked about the xbox 360....i think that'll be the system to get NBA 2K6 for.
