UGO has posted the following:
"But gameplay advancement aside, EA Sports' biggest coup was just recently achieved when the publishing house signed an exclusive deal with both the NFL and the NFLPA making it the sole licensee for the organizations' properties. With real NFL teams and real NFL players now an expected staple, Madden's status as the only franchise legally allowed to include either makes it pretty much the only game in town from a user standpoint, and effectively kills Sega's efforts to unseat the king."
- Blitz: The League Preview (Xbox)
"Doubtless Madden will steal a lot of the football thunder this year, but Blitz: The League deserves a good deal of attention, as well. The innovative storyline, gameplay elements and sympathy pain-inducing hits are enough to set itself apart from EA's juggernaut. The game's set for release this Fall, just in time for NFL season. And for all those wishing for a few less commercials, endorsements and regulations, Blitz is coming through big time."
