GamesIndustry has the scoop.
"A host of ageing EA titles will no longer be playable online after September this year, as the player base for those games diminishes.
From September 1 a total of 14 games across multiple platforms, some including the Xbox 360, will see their servers shut down, with another two titles following suit on November 1.
While the majority of those games (listed below) are 2006 franchise titles on the less popular PlayStation 2 or Xbox online platforms, this is the first time that some EA Xbox 360 games are included.
FIFA Soccer 06, Madden NFL 06, NBA Live 06 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06 will revert to offline multiplayer only, although all of those franchises are scheduled to release their 2008 editions either just before September 1, or within several weeks."
