Wow, I feel dumb, the question I asked at the end was already mostly answered, I guess I missed it when I left the room.

...ANd still no difinitive answer to the questions about walks. Guess we'll just have to see when we buy the game.

That was a bit surprising, given all the previews that have said otherwise. :/

Are you talking about how my life mode is only 10 years? I will be dissapointed if it's only 10 years, it said it was 20 in a lot of previews, I was hoping to play all 20 years. They should've even gave us the Julio Franco option, play until were 80.

Next-gen versions are "in discussion".

I'll take a straight port in 720P with 16:9 support, please.

Why is this not on PSP?

Yea the call was kind of a bummer from a guided point of view. There probably should have been more time at the end of the call to ask questions, and also since you send in questions ahead of time they don't have to answer certain ones and all that. PR will be PR though. Also I've sent in the unanswered questions, so hopefully they respond.

Sounds like DS owners are gonna be disappointed.

Steve sent them in, but you'd need to ask him to find out what happened since I'm out of the loop on that one.

Thanks for the info. I'm not sure if I want to buy this again. I had a lot of fun with it the last time but as much as it kills me the lack of being able to edit rosters like you can with other games makes it tough. Or did someone come up with a solution outside of editing other guys and turning them into the guys you want. Wouldnt you run out of players after a minute or two?

Yeah this was HUGE for me. I posted the question in this thread if you could edit rosters in arrange mode WITHOUT HAVING TO UNLOCK IT, so you can use the teams in season, I even put the UNLOCK parts in caps...lol....the question was asked it looks like, but they didn't ask or they just didn't say if you needed to UNLOCK it or not, which is Huge and the big problem last year.

They didn't provide any info to state you would or wouldn't, so I'm going to have to wait and see on this one. I spent SO MUCH TIME getting all those points just to unlock the feature of using ARRANGE TEAMS in season mode, but by time I got enough of the ludicrous amount of points needed I was so mad at the game I didn't want to mess with it anymore.

Are you surprised? Most gamers don't find walks to be that serious an issue. They'd rather hit 50-60 homeruns and be able to change player intro songs and glove colors, then to .... heaven forbid ...... be walked. I don't look for the walks issue to be addressed at all in this game.

And this begs the question: who is OS really representing here?

I don't follow in this case.

We submitted questions ahead of time (like everyone else), whether they answer them or not isn't our call. This was set up by 2K, and various outlets were invited to sit in and listen -- and at the end ask questions.

So the format is: 2K PR person picks a question from the ones that were sent in ahead of time (from all outlets); then the producer answers; then rinse and repeat. The hope was I'd get to ask at least a few questions at the end (eliminating the PR-screening process), but obviously that didn't happen since the call only allowed for 4 questions in total (I got to ask one of them at least).

I'm not SHOCKED this is how the call went because it was set-up by the 2K PR folk (and it's generally the format they use), but during other calls I've sat in on, 2K has allowed more questions to be asked before ending the call.
