NBA 2K9 Dominates Basketball Sales (Pasta Padre)

	"The full Top 20 in sales for October has been released by NPD. NBA 2K9 placed at #9 with the 360 version selling 202,000 copies while the PS3 version came in at #17. Not even the 360 version of NBA Live 09 was able to reach the Top 20. This is a huge increase year over year for the NBA 2K series. 2K8 didn�t make the Top 10 last year meaning it sold less than 117,000 copies on the 360. While many sports titles haven�t seemed to grow much with increased user base clearly this isn�t the case here. 2K9 has practically doubled 2K8�s first month results."

that is so not true! 2K5 Football, NCAA 2K8...I can go on and on...that's like saying the best lyricist will have the most sales...If that's the case G-Rap would be DIAMOND (10x Platinum).

True. How fickle these forums can be. Pared remember the old 2K5 vs Madden debates? I don't think the basketball debates are anywhere near that level.

If I knew they removed the 2k Camera from online play I wouldn't have been one of the suckers who brought this rushed game.

I have to wonder with the removal of certain cameras and the lobbies if 2k's financial situation caused this game to ship with out what was normally standard features for a 2k game.

It's just silly to have the 2k camera for offline play but not include it for online. It just makes no sense. I wish I could have my 60 back.

Everyone giving them congrats when I feel like I got played.

Am I the only one here that thinks that one of the biggest factors that has created increased sales numbers for 2K is the fact that KG is on the cover?

Not only do I feel like is a much more popular athlete than Tony Parker. But I also feel that it helped a lot that the Celtics won the championship. To go along with that, KG and the Celtics were the most talked about team last year, due to KG being traded in the first place.

2K's choice for the cover athlete was a brilliant move and one of the biggest reasons for this years success IMO.
