Madden 2010 News Post

ESPN Videogames have posted a Madden NFL 10 article, predicting who the cover athlete wil be. Who would you like to see on the cover?

Quote:
"Ever since EA Sports started putting players on game covers, I've had a somewhat bizarre obsession with finding out exactly who will be next to trade a six-figure contract for the most potent and career-threatening curse this side of the Billy Goat.

Throughout the season, I even look at still photos and highlights and think what certain players will look like on the box.

The strange thing is, I have no idea why I care. I mean, does anyone really buy a game because of who is on the cover?"

EA quoted

There is also the strange coincidence that every year since EA Sports has put an athlete on the cover of "Madden," the years with even numbers have featured black quarterbacks (2002: Culpepper, 2004: Vick, 2006: McNabb, 2008: Young).

Look for "Madden 10" to break that pattern, though, as the top three players I have pegged are a safety, a running back and a wide receiver.

For QB its 2 yrs from 2008 with madden 2010 and the pattern is supposed to be broken so i'm looking for kurt warner.

2010-QB Kurt warner or Big Ben (possibly Peyton Manning)
2010-RB Adrian peterson
2010-safety Troy polamalo or Ed reed
2010-Wide out Larry fitzgerald or Santonio Holmes

They should put Collinsworth on the cover, maybe he will get hurt. Or just put a Turducken on there, who could argue with that?

Yeah, I'm no Colts fan (Go STEELERS), but Peyton's never been on the cover, right? That seems kind of crazy. He's gotta be one of the top 5 stars in sports and he did just come off an MVP season. But I don't think he's in the running from the looks of things.

Put Sean Taylor On the cover. This way he won't get hurt

I'm gonna be completely random and say they should put the Lions old head coach (no way he can get any worse lol)

Cannot remember his name though...

Fitz has been on the NCAA cover already, I doubt it will be a QB because of the fight for every yard, I doubt it will be Manning because of NFL Fever, I doubt it will be Ed Reed because they already used Ray Lewis, I doubt it will be D. Ware becasue of the fight for every yard as well, I think it will be someone not yet promoted. I think that because Ian is a Giant's fan, the work that Adembroski and LBzrule have said that make Jacobs a beast in M10 Alpha, and that he is already a canidate who also fits the fight for every yard mentality, I think it will be #27. At least, that is the most logical of those mentioned already. Again, I don't think we have seen the correct canidate yet.

He's the Bears defensive line coach! Don't wish that upon us!
