Few more hours. Can't wait!

Should be interesting. The only thing I don't like is the buying of cards and how it will play out when playing someone. If I don't buy the cards and someone else has then I'm gonna get spanked. I hope/wish they have a way to tell of someone has bought their cards or worked for them.

Anyway, I guess we'll find out how this whole thing works.

This is really interesting. Star Wars Galaxies, Everquest, and a few other games are doing this digital card game thing too. And shockingly it is popular. Wonder if they will ever bring a stand alone app to the PC.

Would like to see an MLB version of this. Might have some real strong interest in that.

You don't have to buy them using real cash. You earn coins by winning and playing games, and you use those those to "buy" the cards. FIFA did it the last few years and it was awesome. I hope that it it is half as good as that.

I didn't explain that to good. I know I don't have to buy the cards with my own cash. I meant, I'm not going to buy the coins as I'd rather earn them by playing with my squad. I meant it's gonna be hard to beat people that have paid money to get the coins and, their team is gonna be stacked.

Sorry again. I tried to explain it but, it just didn't come out that way. Does anyone know if you'll be able to play with the "elite" status online?

So I play my first game online with my starter pack against a team that is supposed to have a lower rating than mine...then my opponent pauses and I'm assuming he goes to the bench to bring in Steve Smith (Panthers), Kellen Winslow Jr, Sidney Rice, Logan Mankings, Brian Urlacher, Elvis Dumervil, Brandon Meriweather, Shaun Rogers, Demeco Ryan, etc. Lets just say that wasn't a battle I could win. Add this to the player's preference to run fake punts and field goals.

so let me get this straight? you start out with a regular team, but online you will be playing some teams that are more or less pro bowl rosters? this seems fair.........

What started out as a promising new addictive feature has been ruined by the availability to purchase packs.

Is there any breakdown of how exactly to earn the most coins?

Does playing on All-Madden net you more coins than the same results on Rookie?

Does playing 15 min Qs earn more coins than 5 min Qs?

There's gotta be more info on this somewhere...

Yes, playing on All-Madden earns you more coins than playing on Rookie.

Quarter length does not matter.

I think this is pretty cool. Definitely will add new life to the game. I'm going to try and build my Maine Marauders into a Championship team.

Thanks for this info. I was playing with custom sliders so I don't think I got a boost. I will play on Default All-Pro against the CPU, or online.

Josh, is there anyway to know if someone paid for their coins or played there way to a better team the fair way?

While I certainly understand why you can purchase cards (almost all card collecting games are like this), I agree with you. How awesome it would it be if you got your points/cards only by playing the game?

I agree with the person above that there should at least be some small incentive (like a badge or label) to earning your points. I don't see this happening though since EA wants you to buy them.

This is a really cool concept though.

Since it's free, I'll give it a shot.

That's a good question, I would like to know that too.

By the way, I am a fair way card receiver, therefore my team sucks. But, I am available for online games.

I just noticed in the friends leaderboards that there is a category for "coins earned from games". At least that is something.

I still would like to see more to differentiate players who earn their coins versus those who buy them.
