Respectable list. I'd replace Damon and Bourn with Jones and Ellsbury, and move Beltran down - too injury prone. Also, finally Franklin Gutierrez getting some respect - there's a reason they call him "Death to Flying Things"

Kemp and Adam Jones, my two favorite young players in the game right now.

Kemp is poised to explode this year.. I remember talks of Cano for Kemp last year.. thank the lord that fell through..

I don't see him play much, but I do believe he's a bad man..I just don't see the johnny damon thing, no way that he's top 10 or even 15...

Cano

.320, 25 HR's, 85 RBI's, 200 hits, 48 doubles, 100 runs, doesn't walk or strike out, above average defense.

Kemp

.297, 26 HR's, 100 RBI's, 180 hits, 25 doubles, 100 runs, doesn't walk but strikes out a ton. 290 K's the last two years to Cano's 120 k's. Kemp is also a gold glove CF.

I call the trade even.
Kemp is also 3+ years younger, and has a higher ceiling...

I think Kemp has a higher upside, but Cano is real valuable based on his position..

I dont know about Kemp having a high ceiling. I think both players are pretty much even.

I think I like Cano because he brings some pop that MOST 2B dont have, add that with the average and good defense, you cant lose.

Kemp is great, but you expect that power and production from your outfielder. Cano gets a little more recognition being in NYY but Kemp is also great.

Kemp deserves top spot in CF and Cano got stiffed at 2B ratings.

Maybe with Hughes in the deal.. Plus LA has him for reasonable money the next 3 years...

Where's Denard Span?

It must really suck being a Twins player featured in a video game if your name isn't Joe Mauer...no love.

Not sure if anyone can expect 30/30 with gold glove defense in center.. I do like Cano and his defense was much improved this past year.. looking forward to the LA NYY series in LA in June..

Haha, ouch!

Seriously though, without having to worry about Gomez anymore, Span will quickly move up the ranks, I just think he is already better than a couple on that list.

Ratings are not based on ranks, but more on ability. Someone already pointed out his numbers against lefties and it is fitting for what he has against lefties.
