So would a 50 ovrl on a 100 scale be an average player?

50 overall should not probably be the average player but it should be about middle of the league in terms of an individual rating. Since overall ratings are slanted to the upper end due to only taking in positional and athletic ratings they should average somewhere above the middle but I would say an average starter should be in the 70-75 range with solid to average backups and weaker starters falling in the 60s and upper 50s and the lower end backups and lower on the depth chart players falling at 50 or below

My guess is they trade Henderson tomorrow and couldn't find a partner to trade up. Or Gene is following his board and had him rated that high.

Bench press doesn't make you a better tackler or able to take on blocks.

Bench isn't a measure of strength, it's a measure of muscle endurance...

Holy crap, Kyle Wilson should have a higher strength rating than Gerald McCoy according to you

While I disagree with his homerism I will have to mention here that it is really quite stupid to base a strength rating off of the number of times an athlete can bench 225 pounds. That really shows very little in terms of comparing players strength and is more of a test of endurance. Once you are testing something a person can do multiple times strength becomes less and less of a factor

1st off, what is up with the animosity here? 2nd, if they were going off of bench max of any lifting max then yes, that would measure strength. When they are taking a weight that any of these athletes can lift and testing how many times they can lift it, that is endurance.

IS MY 49ERS DRAFT GOING TO MATTER???

Is having two stud OLine picks on my team going to mean ANYTHING?

Will having a beasty OLine affect anything in this game at all ? If not 49ers had a horrible "Madden Draft"

Highest player rated in fifa is Ronaldo at 93 OVR.

Scale is from about 35-93. Which i deem is quite good.

Madden shud do the same.

93 shud be sacred territory. Too many 99s.

Manning+Brees shud be 93. Everyone else shud be lower.
